This Summer at FLAAR
Dr. Nicholas Hellmuth:
This summer Dr. Hellmuth is traveling a great deal to gather more information for the reports FLAAR produces for our valued readers. He attended NBM in Indianapolis , Indiana in early June. He will also be in Shanghai in late July. When he is not traveling Dr. Hellmuth will spend time at our office in Guatemala . There he will be performing more research over Mayan Archeology as well as experimenting with some of his wide-format digital camera equipment.
FLAAR Testing Facility:
The Large Format Digital Imaging Lab is located within the Center for Applied Technology at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green , OH. Over the summer FLAAR employs several BGSU students for co-operative experience. These students are involved in designing and editing reports and web pages, responding to reader e-mails and sending reports. FLAAR feels that giving these students real world experience will further prepare them for entering the work force upon graduation.
FLAAR Guatemala:
FLAAR Guatemala now has a new office that they will be spending the summer getting set up with Dr. Hellmuth. They will take over some of the customer service positions that were transferred up to the Bowling Green office during the transition period into this new office.
While Dr. Hellmuth is in Guatemala, they will be working on expanding their research and preservation efforts of Mayan Archeology with some new high resolution digital photography equipment Dr. Hellmuth has been loaned. |
